Webmail

Accessing Webmail:

Webmail allows you to access your email from any Internet browser, including your phone.

Go to: webmail.thedesignmechanics.com

Name: Your username as we have supplied to you, for example “johnsmith-john”

Password: Your password as we have supplied to you. Please note that passwords are case sensitive so make sure you do not have your Caps Lock turned on when entering it.

Configuring Webmail before using it:

Webmail works in a similar way to other Internet email packages (for example Hotmail, Yahoo). This is an online representation of your inbox, checking your email through webmail will not download the messages to your computer or phone. The message will stay there for up to 3 months or until you manually delete them or perform a “Send & Receive” on your computer email software.

Before using webmail, you should take a moment to configure your Webmail account:

Once logged in, click on the “Personal Information” link at the top of the page.

Enter your name as you wish it to appear to people receiving email from you.

Enter your email address in both the “E-mail Address” and “Reply To” addresses. If you do not enter an email address in the reply box, when people reply to an email you send through Webmail your email address may not auto-fill.

If you wish to enter a standard text footer to all your outgoing emails you may do this here also.

Click “Submit” to return to your inbox. Webmail is now ready to use!
