Business cards are one of your primary marketing tools. A little bit of tangible branding that you can hand to someone and they can keep in their wallet. Websites are great for providing more information about your company, but business cards beat them hands down when you meet someone face to face!
And if it's your first time meeting someone, it's your business card that makes that first impression - what does it say about you and your business if you are handing out home made cards, or generic designs with the logo of an online printing company on the back? Make sure your business card works for you!
It might sound obvious, but make sure your business card tells people what you do! If your logo or strap line doesn't have a description of your business then have a short bullet point list of three or four services on the back. Business cards can live in people's card folders for a long time, and there may be a long period between someone meeting you and then having a need to contact you, by which time they may have forgotten exactly what you offer!
