What’s the point?
If you don’t use Facebook personally, then to you it is a place where people post pictures of themselves drunk and write about what they had for breakfast. If you do use Facebook personally, then perhaps you can’t see the point of businesses having a page unless they are Coca-Cola – after all, no one is going to be interested in following a company that sell bathrooms, offer accountancy services or clean offices. If someone wants information about their services they can just go to their website, right?
If your opinion matches either of the above, then we’re written this guide just for you!
Now this is all great, but what’s the point in a business being on Facebook? Well, this goes back to the basics of marketing. Marketing is wonderfully simple, but rarely easy. At its core it goes like this:
1. Make a product or service that some people want
2. Find out where those people are
3. Go there with your marketing message
And increasingly, the answer to the question “where’s the biggest concentration of your potential clients?” is: Facebook.
